WHO WE ARE
Keeping It Real (KIR) Foundation was established and registered in Nigeria in 2010 as a Non-Governmental Organization (RC 916541). KIR Foundation exists to transform the lives of vulnerable children, youth, persons with disabilities, prison inmates, women and our local communities through Education, Advocacy, Capacity and Sustainable Development.
WHAT WE HAVE DONE
In the past six years, we have been in operation with the primary objective of 'inspiring change through learning'. Since 2011, with support from our board of directors, donors, partners, volunteers and staff: KIR Foundation has donated fourteen thousand, two hundred and forty-two (14, 242) books; trained, mentored and counselled sixteen thousand, seven hundred and fifty-three (16, 753) youth. We have taught and read to one thousand, six hundred and sixty-eight (1, 668) children and received seven thousand, three hundred and fifty-six (7, 356) books from six (8) organizations and four (8) individuals.

INSTITUTIONS WE HAVE SUPPORTED
KIR Foundation has supported and facilitated at two (2) Universities, fifty – nine (59) Schools, five (5) Orphanages, four (4) Street Homes, five (5) Remand Homes & Juvenile Correctional Centres, three (3) Books Clubs, five (5) Prisons. We have also empowered nineteen (19) Women and donated eight (8) Computers, thirty-three (33) Braille Slates/ Stylus and numerous Computer Accessories and Educational Supplies to our beneficiaries. KIR Foundation has established three (3) Book clubs and published a leadership manual titled ‘The Young Leader’s Guide’.
